What are the new intelligent infrastructures?
The world is a complex system comprising many cyclical processes and interactive relationships. Everything is interconnected in some way or another. The sign of a good architect has always been the ability to integrate such interconnections and include them conceptually in one’s own designs; today, this is a prerequisite for sustainable planning. However, it is also important to intervene productively in existing cyclical processs because in many systems, there are hidden treasures that must be brought to light. Passive systems can become active – that is, “performing” – systems.
